The Organizing Committee of the 4th International Conference on Obesity Research, "Obesity and Its Impact Throughout the Life Cycle: A Multidisciplinary Perspective," warmly welcomes you and invites you to present your research at this event, which will take place in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, on April 29 and 30, 2025.
Authors interested in participating in this event must submit an abstract of their work in English, adhering to the instructions detailed in the author guidelines. The submitted works must be original and unpublished and should demonstrate a clear connection to the issue of obesity.
Author guidelines
Authors can participate in either oral or poster sessions. The abstract must be submitted in Word format from the opening date of this call (Wednesday, February 26, 2025) until Monday, March 31, 2025. Notifications of accepted works will be sent starting April 9, 2025.
The works will be presented in either oral or poster format. The Scientific Committee of the Congress reserves the right to assign the category of oral or poster presentation based on the content and quality of the submitted work.
Points to evaluate:
Overall quality of the research, discussion, and conclusions clearly supported by the presented results; poster presentation and organization, presenter's presentation, and responses to the jury.
Abstract Format
WORK TITLE CENTERED, IN CAPITAL LETTERS AND BOLD, SIZE 12, TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT, WITH A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF 15 WORDS, CENTERED TEXT
Authors and Affiliated Institution: Authors will be indicated (last names followed by the initial of the first name) in Times New Roman font size 10, justified. The name of the presenter will be underlined, while the corresponding author will be indicated with an asterisk after the name. The order of authors will depend on their contribution to the work (from greatest to least). For each author, the corresponding number of their affiliated institution must be inserted as a superscript.
Each participating institution must be identified by a superscript number according to the order of the authors (e.g. 1 first institution, 2 second institution) followed by the state and country, in continuous text separated by semicolons.
Email of the corresponding author: It should appear at the end of the description of the corresponding institution, preceded by the * sign and include the initials of the corresponding author at the end.
Abstract Justified text, Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced, maximum 300 words. It should contain the necessary information that clearly and concisely describes the following sections and should not include bibliographic references:
Introduction. It should summarize the state of the art of the topic addressed and the theoretical justification of the work being reported. The writing should be in the past tense and not exceed three lines (200-250 characters with spaces).
Methods. This section should concisely present the different methods used to conduct the study (all briefly and without details). This section should be written in the past tense. Scientific names should be in italics. For chemical compounds, you may use IUPAC nomenclature or condensed formulas (e.g., C6H12O6) and units should be expressed using the International System of Units (SI) (e.g., g/L, mM, or % w/w). Indicate relevant statistical methods (e.g., HCA, PCA) if necessary.
Results. This section presents the results in numerical data preferably, or descriptions that account for them (e.g., A>B>C), selecting the most relevant results that support the basis of the conclusions. Tables and/or graphs should not be presented here. The section should be written in the past tense.
Conclusions. A succinct (brief), clear statement in a single paragraph, reflecting the relevance of the results and their possible implications. The text will be written in the present and/or future tense.
Keywords: 1-3 keywords in alphabetical order, written in italics, size 10, justified.
Note: The submitted abstract will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Conference. It is the authors' responsibility to ensure the overall quality of the submitted work, including its writing.
